Sexual Health Screening

TPA now offer rapid HIV and syphilis tests along with the option of gonorrhoea, chlamydia and pregnancy screening for those who would like a full check up. No examination is involved as the tests are all carried out using finger jab, self swab or urine samples to reduce the stress of being screened. If you are interested, we do a drop in on a Monday and offer appointments throughout the week. Call us on 01642 254598 for more details.

TPA together with our partners Teesside University and Love Middlesbrough are proud to announce the 'Camp'Us Christmas Event for World Aids Day 2012' - A Carry On Christmas Extravaganza Teesside Style!

This is a charity event and is for everyone whether you are LGBT, questioning, undecided or straight.

Sexual Health Screening in Teesside

In order to help improve access to Sexual Health Screening in Teesside, TPA now offer a wider range of services to make sexual health check-ups a straightforward and hassle free experience:

TPA offer rapid HIV and Syphilis tests, which involve a confidential pre-test consultation and a small amount of blood to be taken using a simple finger jab. Results will then be provided in twenty minutes. Immediate referrals and support is provided for those whose results are reactive. All reactive results are confirmed via a secondary sample and the relevant aftercare and medical supervision will then be provided.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screening is also available from TPA. For those who dread the idea of being physically examined, this option will remove that anxiety as in order to deliver these tests people provide their own samples. Male patients will be provided with a container to collect a urine sample and female patients will be given a kit to provide their own lower vaginal swab. These are given back to staff and within seven to ten days, contact will be made via text to inform the individual of their result and inform them if any further action is required.

Our walk-in clinics are open every Monday from 9.30am to 4.30pm and appointments can also be made for screening from Mondays throughout the week until Thursday afternoon.
